About

Who I am

A quick summary before the projects do the rest of the talking.

I’m a Software Engineering student and developer focused on building scalable, user-centric software across mobile, backend, and web platforms. I turn real-world problems into reliable, production-ready solutions with clean architecture and modern engineering practices.

I care about clean architecture and code that stays readable as it grows. I'd rather ship something small and working than something large and half-finished, and I use each project as a chance to pick up a technology I haven't used in production yet — that's how Go, Kotlin Multiplatform, and Swift ended up in this list.

Engineering Journey

How I got here

Growth over polish — each stage picked up a new part of the stack.

  1. 2026

    Going cross-platform

Currently building with Kotlin Multiplatform and Swift to ship the same app to both Android and iOS.

  2. 2025 – 2026

    Widening the stack

Picked up Go and Next.js, and started experimenting with cross-platform development instead of staying Android-only.

  3. 2025

    Android & Kotlin focus

Built production Android apps with Jetpack Compose — including a university ERP system and a published game — and started exploring server-side Java.

  4. 2024

    Started building in public

Began shipping projects openly on GitHub — the starting point of a public engineering record.

Currently exploring

Kotlin Multiplatform

Sharing app logic across Android and iOS in production apps.

Swift & iOS development

Building native iOS experiences after years of Android-first work.

Go

Learning backend service development beyond the JVM and Node ecosystems.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

The short answers — including which spelling of the name is the right one.

Who is MH TOUFIK?

MH TOUFIK is a software engineer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He builds Android and iOS applications, backend APIs, and web platforms with Kotlin, Swift, Go, and Next.js, and publishes most of that work as open source on GitHub as toufikforyou.

Is he a software engineer or an application developer?

Both describe the same work. Software engineer, software developer, application developer, mobile app developer, Android developer, iOS developer and backend developer are all titles that fit what he does day to day — building and shipping applications end to end, from the interface down to the API and database.

What kind of applications does he build?

Native Android apps in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, iOS apps in Swift and SwiftUI, cross-platform work with Kotlin Multiplatform, backend APIs in Go, Node.js and Java, and web applications in Next.js and React. The projects page lists what has actually shipped, with the source for most of it.

Is he available for freelance or full-time work in Dhaka, Bangladesh?

Yes. He works with clients and teams in Dhaka, Bangladesh and remotely worldwide, on mobile applications, backend systems, and full-stack web projects. The contact page has email and WhatsApp, and messages usually get an answer within a day.

Where can I see his code and profiles?

Everything public lives under the handle toufikforyou — GitHub for source code, LinkedIn for work history, and this site for the written case studies behind each project.
